2012 predictions

The 2012 phenomenon comprises a range of eschatological beliefs which posit that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur on December 21 or December 23, 2012, is said to be the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mayan Long Count calendar. These beliefs may derive in part from archaeoastronomical speculation, alternative interpretations of mythology, numerological constructions, or alleged prophecies from extraterrestrial beings.

A New Age interpretation of this transition posits that, during this time, the planet and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era. Conversely, some believe that the 2012 date marks the end of the world or similar catastrophe. Both ideas have been disseminated in numerous books and TV documentaries, and have spread around the world through websites and discussion groups.

Scholars of various stripes have disputed the idea that a catastrophe will happen in 2012, suggesting that predictions of impending doom are found neither in classic Maya accounts nor in contemporary science. Mainstream Mayanist scholars argue that the idea that the Long Count calendar "ends" in 2012 misrepresents Maya history. To the modern Maya, 2012 is largely irrelevant, and classic Maya sources on the subject are scarce and contradictory, suggesting that there was little if any universal agreement among them about what, if anything, the date might mean.

Meanwhile, astronomers and other natural scientists have rejected the apocalyptic forecasts, on the grounds that the anticipated events are precluded by astronomical observations, or are unsubstantiated by the predictions that have been generated from these findings. NASA likens fears about 2012 to those about the Y2K bug in the late 1990s, suggesting that an adequate analysis should stem fears of disaster.

Nostradamus predictions

NOSTRADAMUS, the French Christian Jew who lived in France in the 16th century, made many accurate forecasts, including the two World Wars. 18 of his 950 quatrains refer to a third world war. Some Nostradamus experts had given the date for the start of such a war as mid-1999, referring to the Balkan conflict surrounding Kosovo. They obviously misinterpreted the quatrains. Their attention then turned to the 11 September 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York.

NOSTRADAMUS

Born Michel de Notredame on 14 December 1503 in St Remy, France, he was the oldest of five sons. His grandfather, Jean, taught him Latin, Greek, Hebrew, mathematics and astrology at an early age. Nostradamus received a medical degree in 1529 and became physician-in-ordinary to Charles IX during the bubonic plague. He is said to have had extraordinary healing abilities.

Nostradamus was in his late 40s when, it is told, he frequently went into a meditative state and had visions of the future. He began to document the visions in a mixture of Lain, French, and Greek quatrains, publishing his famous "Centuries" in 1558.

Nostradamus was married twice, losing his first wife and two children to the plague. He died on 2 July 1566. "Centuries" was translated into English in 1672. In 1781 it was banned by the Roman Catholic Church. Ironically, in 1553, when Nostradamus encountered a group of Franciscan monks he threw himself on his knees, clutching at the garment of one of the monks, Felice Peretti. When asked why he had done this he replied that he must yield "before his Holiness." Nineteen years after the death of Nostradamus, Peretti became Pope Sixtus V.

What the experts say Nostradamus predicted about the Balkan war
The war prophecy is reserved for someone whom Nostradamus refers to as "the tyrant." He predicted that the Slavs will "change their prince" and "raise an army in the mountains," suggesting a guerilla war. He speaks of "when the north pole is united" (perhaps NATO?), and there are many geographical references to the Balkans, such as Greece, Italy and the Mediterranean.

The war is linked to when the "eagle" (United States) and the "cock" (France) stand together. There also is specific reference to the time when England, Poland and Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic and Slovakia) "form a new alliance." The former Eastblock countries recently joined NATO.

He predicted that the Allies will win, that the war will be protracted, lasting seven months, and that it may go beyond the Balkans, toward the north, but that after the war there will be "peace on earth for a long time."

Bible code predictions

The article, "Swine Flu Prediction" predicted when the flu vaccine would be ready and also when the second wave of Swine Flu would strike. (The first wave was also predicted, and when.)

I know that most people never took this prediction seriously because I also said that the flu would not be disastrous, but rather that God would show grace. And thus this prediction about the flu was not sensational. I implied that it would only be bad enough to serve as a warning concerning a still future plague.
Based upon that bible prophecy code and the signs that God showed me back then, I was able to accurately predict when the two separate waves of flu would occur. The predictions were made years ahead of time. The predictions tested me on a personal level because there had not been an epidemic in 40 years! Things came into increasing focus as the time grew closer. The prediction first began with the SARS outbreak seven years ago. This outbreak began very near to where I lived and in the hospital where my children were born.

Things came to pass just like all the other predictions, such as the timing of Saddam Hussein's death, or of the many hurricanes of 2004-2005. Things played out exactly to the day as predicted. (See "20 proofs of a genuine bible code".)

I did not have to go back and give excuses for why a prediction did not happen, as many others do on the internet.

Love predictions

Love Omens:

  • If someone sweeping the floor sweeps over your feet, it is a sign that you will never marry.
  • If you are making a quilt or bedspread and don't finish it, you will never marry.
  • If a bachelor places a bachelor's buttons plant in his pocket on Valentine's day and it continues to bloom, he will be lucky in love all the year through.
  • If you catch a falling leaf on Valentine's day before it hits the ground, you'll have a year of happy relationships.
  • Gypsies who wanted to know if they would marry would ask a mule. If both the mule's ears twitched, it meant yes. If only one twitched, it meant maybe. If the mule's ears were still, the answer was no.
  • Take two chestnuts. Name one for yourself and one for your love. Place them on a fire log. If they burn quietly, you will have a harmonious relationship. If the one named for your love pops or sputters, your love will be tumultuous. If the one named for you pops or sputters, you will lose interest in your love.

To Find Out Whom You Will Wed:

  • Find a four leaf clover and cut it in half. Place the half in your shoe and go for a walk. The first person you meet will have the same initials as your future spouse.
  • Make a list of the names of all the people you might possibly wed. Hold an apple by the stem and spin it, calling out the names. The name you speak when the stem breaks and the apple falls will be the one you will marry.
  • Peel an apple skin in one, long strip and toss it over your left shoulder. The letter it forms is the initial of your future love's Christian name.
  • Beneath the moon on Valentine's day, crack an egg into a bowl of water. The shape the white takes will hint at the occupation of the one you will wed.
  • Place a knife on a table before you and spin it clockwise. If the blade faces towards you when it stops, your future mate will have dark hair. If it faces away from you, your future mate will be fair.
  • To find out who you will marry, write the names of all the men or women you know on hazelnuts (one name per nut). Roast them over an open fire. The first one to pop is the one with whom you are destined to be.
  • With an apple and a knife, stand before a mirror. Slice the apple into pieces. Stick a pieces on the point of the knife and hold it over your left shoulder. As you gaze into the mirror, you will see a vision of your future spouse appear behind you to take the apple.
  • Go to a church at midnight on Midsummer's Eve. Walk around it 9 times while sprinkling hemp seeds and saying, "As the hemp seeds I do sow, who will follow me and mow?" You will see a vision of your future life partner. Unfortunately, since hemp (marijuana) is illegal, don't be surprised if it is a police officer.

To Dream Of Your Future Mate:

  • Wear your nightgown inside-out.
  • Place a mirror under your pillow.
  • Rub your head with citrus peel before retiring.
  • Place two bay leaves under your pillow in a cross.
  • Place a sprig of cinquefoil with seven leaflets under your pillow.
  • Place a sprig of thyme in your left shoe and a sprig of rosemary in your right; place your shoes at the foot of your bed for the night to dream of your future lover.

World predictions

Vanga (Vangelia) Pandeva was born on January 31st, 1911 and spent her life living in Bulgaria until she died on August 11th, 1996. She lost her sight when she was 12 years old when she was swept away by a tornado. She was found alive with sand in her eyes, which was the reason for her blindness. Vanga began making predictions when she was 16 years old. She became very famous for having this gift rather quickly. Many of the statesman including Hitler had visited her and it is reported that Hitler left her house looking upset.

Vanga’s most shocking prediction include:
“At the turn of the century, in August of 1999 or 2000, Kursk will be covered with water, and the whole world will be weeping over it.” (1980)
- The prediction did not make any sense back then. Sadly, twenty years on, it did make a lot of sense, when a Russian nuclear submarine sunk in an accident in August of 2000. The submarine was named Kursk. Kursk - the city (after which the submarine was named), could by no means have been covered with water (probably that’s why her prediction seemed so unrealistic at first).
“Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing.” (1989)
- Happened as predicted. The World Trade Center Towers in New York collapsed following terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The WTC Towers were dubbed “Twins” or “Brothers.” The terrorists drove passenger planes –“the steel birds”- into the towers. “The bush” obviously relates to the surname of the current U.S. president.
